Inspired by a piece of 15th century velvet dalmatic now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  A tunic with wide sleeves, a dalmatic was worn as part of liturgical vestments and by British monarchs during coronation services.  Originally woven on a special loom that allowed the creation of two thicknesses at the same time, velvets were one of the most highly prized fabrics of the Renaissance.

The notebook has 176 pages of 100gsm FSC certified paper in a 130 x 180mm (slightly smaller than A5) format with a ribbon marker and a pouch inside the hard cover with an elastic closure.
