In association with the UK National Museum of Computing, this pen commemorates the work of Alan Turing in creating the Enigma code breaking machine at "Station X" (Bletchley Park) during World War 2. He is widely considered the father of modern computer science.

Around the wide sterling silver cap band is the word "ENIGMA", and there is a secret compartment to hide your secret message – unscrew the barrel end, and there is a compartment to hold a small scroll of paper – your message to yourself, or to your loved one, hopefully written in code!

Engraved on the barrel are the words “The Alan Turing Pen” to keep alive the memory of this most ingenious man whose secret activities during the Second World War helped save Europe from Nazi tyranny, and also triggered the start of the computer era.

Comes with a medium 18ct gold bicolour nib. These nibs have been acclaimed for their ‘smooth-as-butter’ writing experience. Each nib is embossed with the Conway Stewart emblem.

This pen has a dual filling system. It is fitted with a converter which allows the user to draw ink from a bottle or alternatively, you may remove the converter and use standard international ink cartridges.

Each pen is hand crafted in Emsworth, UK & a portion of the sale price supports the museum.

I know that the only way to decide whether you really like a pen or not is to hold it, which is kindof difficult to do over the internet, so I have a solution. Buy it. If you don`t like it, ship it back (your cost and everything must be returned in like new condition), and I will give you a full refund. I don`t think that you can get fairer than that.
